After recent-ish releases on Telle (his last being 2003′s “Trobbel” and his remake of Mental
Overdrive’s “Diskodans”), creative Norwegian old hand (he was releasing 12″s on labels like Djaxx-Up-Beats and Reinforced as far back as th early 90s) and general leftfield genius, Bjorn Torske joins the Town Super Sound guys for this 30 minute long 12″. The title track is one of those quirky avant-disco records that just seem to grow like mushrooms in Norway (maybe it’s the extra-long hours of darkness..), complete with clanky percussion and creaking gate noises. It’s joined by two extra-long tracks of dark, heavy psychedelic dub which will have you in a horizontal position within seconds; “Skabbdabb” and “Dubet” (think Duane Eddy in dub mode!) which features the Bjorn Torske Big Band, aka Jorgen ‘Sir Duperman’ Traeen of Toy, John Hegre of Jazzkammer / Kaptein Kaliber and David Asheim also of Kaptein Kaliber. We have a new album by our favourite duo Paal Nilssen-Love and Ken Vandermark. The album is the follow up to "Dual Pleasure" and "Dual Pleasure 2", the album is titled "Seven" and is their best album to date. “Based in Berlin, Hiorthoy makes all of his music with hip-hop’s favourite old school toy, an MPC sampler, which explains the raw dynamics of his style, but not how he manages to keep it all together so well. “This Record…” lashes punch-drunk drums with cool saxophone riff and intermittent piano – the only other element being bass – and it gives it a live jamming-in-the-studio feel, but with structure. And, should you think that title isn’t a mouthful enough, “The Shy Boys With Windbreakers & Thick Glasses Will Come & Take Revenge” pushes it further with similar themes, shifting towards acidic riffs circa Adamski ‘NRG’ era rave. Quirky, sure, yet also funkier than all this probably reads – check it out.” (Update Magazine)

We have got many questions about this limited edtion vinyl version of "Weapons Of Ass Destruction". It is now ready and you can order it from our Superstore (under merchandise). The vinyl is pressed in 1000 copies and will not be repressed, so you need to be fast to get it. Also note that the artwork is a little different than from the CD, and the artwork is brilliantly done by Kim Hiorth
